A1・2 ～を [verb]

Meaning：

• Use the particle を to mark the object of a verb.
• を and お are pronounced the same.
• When you use the verb あいます (to meet), you must use に instead of を.

How to use：

[Noun] を [Verb]

Example：

• 本ほんを読よみます。- I read a book.
• コーヒーを飲のみますか。…はい、飲のみます。／いいえ、飲のみません。- Do you drink coffee?…Yes, I do.／No, I don’t.
• 今朝けさ、何なにを食たべましたか。…パンを食たべました。／何なにも食たべませんでした。- What did you eat this morning?…I ate bread.／I didn’t eat anything.
• 日曜日にちようびだれに会あいますか。…彼かれに会あいます。- Who are you meeting on Sunday?…I’m meeting him.
• 休やすみは何なにをしますか。…映画えいがを見みます。- What do you do on your days off?…I watch movies.

A3 ～で～を [verb]

Meaning：

• When で is added after a place word, it shows where an action happens.

How to use：

[Noun(place)] は [Noun] を [Verb]

Example：

• 食堂しょくどうで昼ご飯ひる　はんを食たべました。- I ate lunch in the cafeteria.
• うちで働はたらきます。- I work at home.
• どこでそのかばんを買かいましたか。…デパートで買かいました。- Where did you buy that bag?…I bought it at a department store.

～ます。それから～ます。

Meaning：

• Use それから to say what you do next and the order of actions.

How to use：

[sentence] それから [sentence]

Example：

• 明日あしたうちでゲームをします。それからレストランでご飯はんを食たべます。- I am going to play games at home tomorrow. After that, I will eat a meal at a restaurant.
• きのう何なにをしましたか。…図書館としょかんへ行いきました。それから友達ともだちに会あいました。- What did you do yesterday?…I went to the library. After that, I met a friend.

A4・5 いっしょに～ませんか。…～ましょう。

Meaning：

• Use いっしょに～ませんか when you want to invite someone to do something together.
• When you accept an invitation, use ええ、いいですね When you refuse, use すみません、ちょっと.
• Use ～ましょう to say yes in a positive way when you accept an invitation.
• Use ～ましょう when the speaker positively invites the listener to do something together.

How to use：

いっしょに　Vます　ませんか。…ええ、Vます　ましょう。

Example：

• いっしょにコーヒーを飲のみませんか。…ええ、いいですね。／すみません、ちょっと。- Would you like to have some coffee with me?…Yes, that sounds great.／I’m sorry, I’m a bit busy.
• いっしょに映画えいがを見みませんか。…ええ、見みましょう。- Why don’t we watch a movie together?…Yes, let’s watch it.
• ちょっと休やすみましょう。- Let’s take a short break.
