[補足]
「～ところ」の後ろにつく助詞は、「～ところを見た」「～ところへ／に来た」「～ところで終わった」など、後ろの動詞によって変わる。

- 泣いているところを母に見られた。
I was seen crying by my mother.
- 寂しいと思っていたところに、母から連絡がきた。
Just when I was feeling lonely, I got a call from my mother.
- 寝ようとしたところを、犬が邪魔してきた。
Just when I was about to go to bed, the dog interrupted me.
- おもしろくなってきたところで、今日のドラマは終わった。
Just when it was getting interesting, today’s drama ended.
