「AくらいならB」…Aは嫌だから、Bも一番いいとは言えないけど、Bするほうがいい

「AくらいならB」…I don’t like to do A, so I choose B although I can’t say B is the best.

[補足]
「くらいなら～ましだ」の表現も使うことが多い。
例文
- 虫を食べるくらいなら、何も食べたくない。
I would rather eat nothing than eat bugs.
- 嫌いは人と旅行するくらいなら、家にいたほうがいい。
I’d rather stay home than travel with people I don’t like.
- やらないで後悔するくらいなら、やって失敗するほうがましだ。
It is better to try and fail than to not try and regret.
- 嫌な仕事を続けるくらいなら、給料が少なくても自分が好きな仕事をするべきだ。
