A1・2 ～を [verb]
Meaning：
- Use the particle を to mark the object of a verb.
- を and お are pronounced the same.
- When you use the verb あいます (to meet), you must use に instead of を.
How to use：
[Noun] を [Verb]
Example：
- 本(ほん)を読(よ)みます。- I read a book.
- コーヒーを飲(の)みますか。…はい、飲みます。／いいえ、飲みません。- Do you drink coffee?…Yes, I do.／No, I don’t.
- 今朝(けさ)何(なに)を食(た)べましたか。…パンを食べました。／何も食べませんでした。- What did you eat this morning?…I ate bread.／I didn’t eat anything.
- 日曜日(にちようび)だれに会(あ)いますか。…彼(かれ)に会います。- Who are you meeting on Sunday?…I’m meeting him.
- 休(やす)みは何をしますか。…映画(えいが)を見(み)ます。- What do you do on your days off?…I watch movies.
A3 ～で～を [verb]
Meaning：
- When で is added after a place word, it shows where an action happens.
How to use：
[Noun(place)] は [Noun] を [Verb]
Example：
- 食堂(しょくどう)で昼ご飯(ひるごはん)を食(た)べました。- I ate lunch in the cafeteria.
- うちで働(はたら)きます。- I work at home.
- どこでそのかばんを買(か)いましたか。…デパートで買いました。- Where did you buy that bag?…I bought it at a department store.
～ます。それから～ます。
Meaning：
- Use それから to say what you do next and the order of actions.
How to use：
[sentence] それから [sentence]
Example：
- 明日(あした)うちでゲームをします。それからレストランでご飯(はん)を食(た)べます。- I am going to play games at home tomorrow. After that, I will eat a meal at a restaurant.
- きのう何をしましたか。…図書館(としょかん)へ行きました。それから友達(ともだち)に会(あ)いました。- What did you do yesterday?…I went to the library. After that, I met a friend.
A4・5 いっしょに～ませんか。…～ましょう。
Meaning：
- Use いっしょに～ませんか when you want to invite someone to do something together.
- When you accept an invitation, use ええ、いいですね When you refuse, use すみません、ちょっと.
- Use ～ましょう to say yes in a positive way when you accept an invitation.
- Use ～ましょう when the speaker positively invites the listener to do something together.
How to use：
いっしょに Vます ませんか。…ええ、Vます ましょう。
Example：
- いっしょにコーヒーを飲(の)みませんか。…ええ、いいですね。／すみません、ちょっと。- Would you like to have some coffee with me?…Yes, that sounds great.／I’m sorry, I’m a bit busy.
- いっしょに映画(えいが)を見(み)ませんか。…ええ、見ましょう。- Why don’t we watch a movie together?…Yes, let’s watch it.
- ちょっと休(やす)みましょう。- Let’s take a short break.
