意味・用法
[意味]
「～ていく」…離れる
「～てくる」…近づく
[英語訳]
「～ていく」…leave, move away
「～てくる」…approach, get closer

[補足]
「～ていく」は今→未来に向かって続けること、「～てくる」は過去→今まで続けたことを話すときにも使う。
例）10年ぐらいピアノを習ってきました。これからも習っていくつもりです。
例文
- 犬がこちらに向かって走ってきた。
The dog ran toward us.
- 犬がボールを追いかけていった。
The dog ran after the ball.
- 息子がスマホを見ながら歩いてきた。
My son was walking toward me while looking at his smartphone.
- 泥棒がカギを壊して、部屋に入っていった。
The burglar broke the lock and went into the room.
- 泥棒が高級時計を盗んで部屋から出てきた。
The burglar stole a luxury watch and came out of the room.
- 遅刻した社員が慌てた様子で、会議室に入ってきた。
The late employee hurried into the meeting room, looking flustered.
- 空を飛んでいたドローンが落ちてきて、びっくりした。
I was surprised when the drone that was flying in the sky fell down.
- 風船が空高くまで飛んでいった。
The balloon floated up high into the sky.
- 友達が急にボールを投げてきて、顔に当たった。
My friend suddenly threw a ball at me, and it hit my face.
- 船が氷山にぶつかり、海の中に沈んでいった。
The ship hit an iceberg and sank into the sea.
- 引き出しの中から、探していた手紙が出てきた。
The letter I was looking for came out of the drawer.
- 木の葉が風に吹かれながら川に落ちていった。
The leaves, blown by the wind, fell into the river.
- ボールが勢いよく飛んできて、顔に当たりそうになった。
A ball came flying toward me and almost hit my face.
- どこからかいい匂いが漂ってきた。
A nice smell drifted toward me from somewhere.
- 向こうから車が猛スピードで突っ込んできた。
A car came rushing toward me at full speed.
- ボールが転がってきたので、拾って投げ返した。
A ball rolled toward me, so I picked it up and threw it back.
