[補足]
- 「確認、推量」の意味で言うときは語尾が上がり、「んじゃない」の形もよく使う。
- 「非難」の意味で言うときは語尾が下がる。
- 「じゃないですか」は丁寧な表現。
- 「じゃん」も同じように使う。
例）A：ためじゃん。そんなことしちゃ。
B：そんなに怒らなくてもいいじゃん。

- あの人、新しい先生じゃない？
Isn’t that person the new teacher?
- これ前に勉強した文法じゃない？
Isn’t this the grammar we studied before?
- あれ、雪じゃない？雪が降ってるよ。
Isn’t that snow? It’s snowing!
- A: この財布、山田さんのじゃない？ B: たぶんそうだね。
A: Isn’t this wallet Yamada’s? B: Probably, yeah.
- A：この店、思ったよりおいしいんじゃない？ B：うん、けっこうおいしいね。
A: This place is tastier than I expected, isn’t it? B: Yeah, it’s pretty good.
②推量
- 明日、雨が降るんじゃない？
It might rain tomorrow, don’t you think?
- この試合、日本のチームが勝つんじゃない？
This match, the Japanese team might win, don’t you think?
- もっと物価が上がるんじゃない？
Prices might go up even more, don’t you think?
- あの店、もう閉まってるんじゃない？
That store is probably already closed, don’t you think?
- これ、あの人がやったんじゃない？
This was probably done by that person, wasn’t it?
③非難
- 体調が悪いのに、外に出ちゃだめじゃない！
You shouldn’t go out when you’re not feeling well!
- 誰にも言わないでって言ったじゃない！
I told you not to tell anyone!
- 早くしてよ！電車に遅れるじゃない！
Hurry up! We’re going to miss the train!
- そんなことしたら危ないじゃない！
That’s dangerous if you do that!
- 静かにしてよ！周りの人に迷惑じゃない！
